Depending on how close you are with your family, they may make the assumption that you know they are coming without needing to RSVP. Therefore you may lose money for unused postage. It also increases the chances of not having enough food or seating for your loved ones.
So to make it easier on you (and your budget) and more convenient for your guests, have them call a phone number and leave a message. There are many selections for companies who specialize in RSVP Phone Services. Or instead of hiring a company, you can purchase a toll-free number and set up a recorded voicemail message. It's cost effective and doesn't take up too much time. You can leave a message like:
